Description

Design Charrette

Sunday, October 11 from 10am-4pm

and

Wednesday, October 14 from 7pm-8:30pm

You must attend both dates.

On Sunday, the architects will lead an all-day session where we will learn about the many issues that affect the design of the building, and explore a number of options and possibilities. We will break into smaller groups for hands-on design work, then present our ideas to the larger group.

On Wednesday, we will reconvene to see how the architects synthesized our ideas and make further comments.

The design charrette is an exciting tool for designing a building. It is productive, collaborative, energizing and inclusive. It helps to ensure that all voices are heard, all options are discussed and that there is buy-in on many levels. The charrette helps to compress what can be a lengthy process into a few days. The result, while still very conceptual, forms a solid basis for the more detailed work to come.

Please email us if you need any accommodations in order to participate in this event.
